THE TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION – impresses me so often – because on many occasions I’ve been talking about a given subject/terminology and he comes out and puts “sound-sensible” words to my thoughts!!!! Psalm 2 speaks of the evil ones saying that they are cutting the cords that bind us; and I have been thinking that this is in reference to the silver cord that not only connects our spirit to our bodies, but also keeps us connected to the life that YHVH gives!
In a recent piece by The Truth is Stranger – he points out how the space program and astrophysics are at their core – astral-projection.
Astral-projection teaches how we can separate our “higher selves” (the spirit-man) from our lower selves (our physical bodies) – and separate the SILVER CORD connection and “project ourselves” to other locations – on earth and through-out the universe. Read a bit more about ASTRAL-PROJECTION
I have found that many things that the world “buys into” have some truth in them. A drop of truth – in an ocean of lies. I suppose that there has to be some truth for a thing to be accepted – for it to “sound right”. 
Astral projection is one of those ideals. We have Prophets and even Paul writing “whether in the body or not – I do not know…. but I was taken up to the third heaven …” and John writes “on the LORD’S day I was in the spirit… ” Sounds like “astral-projection to me”. Sort-of — but I digress…
So the evil ones who rule this world (for the time-being) would think – “we are gonna have life without God” — (through TRANSHUMANISM – get it?) We will be OUR OWN GOD have you seen the interviews with leading transhumanist, Dr. Richard Seed – stating, “I’m gonna be a god – and if you try to stop me – I’ll kill ya”

4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.
In Ecclesiastes 12 (ESV) we also read a small blurb about “remembering God… before the silver cord is snapped…”
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;
2 before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars are darkened and the clouds return after the rain,
3 in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men are bent, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those who look through the windows are dimmed,
4 and the doors on the street are shut—when the sound of the grinding is low, and one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of song are brought low—
5 they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along,[a] and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets—
6 before the silver cord is snapped, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern,
7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. 8 Vanity[b] of vanities, says the Preacher; all is vanity.
My point is – that these scriptures are in many ways – PROPHETIC (well – Psalms 2 is) because the powers of darkness are making attempt to have life – without God – and to – in essence – make ourselves into gods.
Remember – It is in HIM that we walk and breathe – so it is a VAIN THING to think that you can live forever without God the Father – and HIS ANNOINTED.
